Prior to the automation of Hook Lighthouse in 1996, Hook Heritage CLGwas established in 1995 to operate Hook Lighthouse as Visitor Attraction.
It was officially opened in 2000 by the then President of Ireland Mary McAleese and has now become an International Tourist attraction. With over 250,000 visitors in 2019.
It operates as a social enterprise, employing over 30 local people during Peak Season whilst using as many local suppliers as possible and is part of the Wexford Food Family.
We open all year round a host a series of events during each year, starting with a Sunrise Tour on New Years day.
We work very closely with Irish Lights, Failte Ireland, Pobal and Wexford County Council to ensure that our visitor has the very best experience here at Hook Lighthouse.
